Liam and Noel Gallagher have dramatically confirmed the reunion of Oasis, one of the most iconic bands in British music history, for a major tour across the UK and Ireland.
After weeks of mounting speculation, the Manchester brothers have set aside their 15-year feud to announce their return to the stage together, 34 years after their inaugural performance.
Excitement soared to new heights on Sunday when both Gallagher brothers shared a video styled in classic Oasis fashion, hinting at the big announcement scheduled for Tuesday at 8 a.m. The same poster also appeared on big screens as Liam concluded his headline set at Reading Festival on Sunday.
This morning, Oasis put an end to all speculation by announcing a series of concerts—set to be a major event next summer—that will not be broadcasted. The tour will include stops in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
The 14-show tour, running from July 4 to August 17, will start at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and will include performances at Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley in London, Murrayfield in Edinburgh, and Croke Park in Dublin.
Although there were rumors about Oasis appearing at Glastonbury 2025, it is understood they will not be performing at Worthy Farm. However, plans are underway for the band to tour outside of Europe later in the year.
In announcing the Oasis Live 25 tour, accompanied by the first photo of the brothers together in years, the band declared: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
The Oasis website crashed immediately following the announcement, sending fans into a frenzy. The reunion comes just a day before the 15th anniversary of the band’s split on August 28, 2009.
