Ms. Kendra Wilkinson has frequently reflected on the implications of her decision to relocate to the Playboy Mansion at the age of 18.
In 2004, Ms. Wilkinson transitioned from her residence in San Diego to Los Angeles to assume the role of one of Mr. Hugh Hefner’s three live-in companions, alongside Ms. Holly Madison and Ms. Bridget Marquardt.
Now approaching her 40th birthday on Thursday, Ms. Wilkinson recently granted an interview to Fox News Digital, during which she identified a singular, enduring regret associated with the four-year period she resided at the iconic estate.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Ms. Kendra Wilkinson stated:
“The only thing I can say I regret in my life is not starting my real estate career while I was living at the Playboy Mansion.”
She elaborated further, noting:
“I was surrounded by everyone—every celebrity, every billionaire—and what was I thinking? But I’m now in real estate, so I’m good.”
Ms. Wilkinson initially gained national recognition through her appearance on the E! reality television series The Girls Next Door, which documented her life as one of Mr. Hugh Hefner’s live-in romantic partners at the Playboy Mansion.
The reality television series The Girls Next Door, in which Ms. Kendra Wilkinson appeared, aired for six seasons between 2005 and 2010. Ms. Wilkinson resided at the Playboy Mansion from 2004 until 2009.
In 2020, Ms. Wilkinson commenced a new professional chapter by obtaining her real estate license and affiliating with The Agency, a luxury real estate firm founded by fellow reality television personality Mr. Mauricio Umansky.
Her early experiences in the real estate sector were documented in a Discovery+ docuseries titled Kendra Sells Hollywood, which chronicled the challenges she faced as a novice navigating the highly competitive Los Angeles property market. The series aired for two seasons between 2021 and 2023.
In a November 2023 interview with People magazine, Ms. Wilkinson expressed reservations about her participation in the show, acknowledging that she was not in an ideal mental or emotional state at the time of filming. She stated:
“I feel a little regret filming my last show because I wasn’t really ready. I was a little off mentally, and I wasn’t prepared to be on camera just yet. I wasn’t fully healed or there yet. Now I feel there.”
Ms. Wilkinson was previously married to former National Football League player Mr. Hank Baskett. The couple wed in 2009 and finalized their divorce in 2018. They share two minor children: a son, Hank Baskett IV, currently aged 15, and a daughter, Alijah, aged 11.
During a March 2025 appearance on the podcast Amy & T.J., hosted by Ms. Amy Robach and Mr. T.J. Holmes, Ms. Wilkinson referred to the period of her marriage as “the happiest days of my entire life.” She further reflected on the emotional toll of the marriage’s dissolution, stating:
“When those days came to an end, I crumbled so hard, and it almost killed me. It almost killed me.”#newsafro_
