Los Angeles — Paris Jackson is once again speaking out against the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, calling the film “dishonest” and a “fantasy.” The 25-year-old has targeted the two executors of her late father’s estate, John Branca and John McClain, who are producing the movie.
Lawyers for the estate responded to her criticisms, telling TMZ that Paris’ claims are “without merit.”
The dispute traces back to last year, when Paris publicly accused Branca and McClain of financial mismanagement, lack of transparency, and misusing estate resources since Michael Jackson’s death in 2009. She has not held back her frustration over how the estate has been run, and her most recent comments continue that critique.
According to Paris, the co-executors used estate funds to back risky entertainment ventures, including the biopic, which is slated for wide release on April 24. She described the production, which reportedly cost around $150 million, as “botched” and expressed concern over how the estate’s money was spent.
Earlier this month, Paris met with Branca and McClain in court, reinforcing her stance that their handling of her father’s legacy remains troubling.#newsafro_
