President Donald Trump revealed Monday that Republican Rep. Neal Dunn had been given a terminal diagnosis, with doctors warning he could be dead by June due to a serious heart condition. Trump made the disclosure during a press conference on Capitol Hill, where GOP leaders were discussing the party’s narrow voting margin in the House.
According to Trump, he arranged for Dunn to receive care from top physicians at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which Speaker of the House Mike Johnson confirmed has given Dunn a “new lease on life.” Johnson added that the congressman now feels “30 years younger” following the treatment.
While Johnson appeared cautious about revealing details publicly, Trump spoke openly about Dunn’s health challenges and the intervention that he says helped improve the lawmaker’s condition, highlighting the potential impact on Republican legislative efforts in the House.
