On February 4, 2026, authorities in Kampala City, Uganda, were notified regarding the discovery of the deceased body of Ms. Dianah Namulinde, age 24, also known professionally as Diana Skys, at her residential premises. According to reports from Daily Monitor and NBS Television, the decedent’s body was located subsequent to friends arriving at her apartment and observing that the premises were unsecured. Ms. Namulinde was reported to have been residing alone.
Preliminary assessments of the scene indicated the presence of physical signs consistent with strangulation. Deputy Spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police, Mr. Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed that a team comprising homicide detectives and scene-of-crime officers conducted an on-site investigation, including documentation and recovery of physical evidence. Statements were obtained from relevant witnesses in connection with the incident.
At present, authorities have identified three suspects believed to be connected to the matter. Two of the identified individuals are currently in police custody. Reports indicate that one of the apprehended suspects is employed as a security guard and was allegedly found in possession of items considered to be stolen from the decedent’s residence.
Ms. Namulinde had established a significant social media presence, amassing approximately 200,000 followers across platforms including Instagram and TikTok, where she disseminated content related to beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and travel. Her online activity frequently included personal photographs, photoshoots, and brand collaborations.
The decedent’s final social media post, dated February 3, 2026, featured a fashion-oriented image accompanied by the caption: “Dianah means perfect light. Goddess of fire.” Her Instagram profile identified her as a creator, makeup artist, and designer, with the inclusion of the phrase “God first.”
