Heidi Klum was observed on Monday engaging in recreational activities at a beach in St. Barts, where she elected not to wear a bikini top while swimming in the ocean with her husband, Tom Kaulitz, aged 36.
The 52-year-old German model and television personality appeared relaxed and at ease as she entered the water wearing metallic navy-blue bikini bottoms, without an upper garment. She was also seen wearing a long necklace, aviator-style sunglasses, and her hair worn loose. Mr. Kaulitz, a guitarist with the band Tokio Hotel, was dressed in cheetah-print shorts and a grey baseball cap.
At various points, the couple were photographed arranging a Gucci-branded towel on the beach. Earlier, Ms. Klum had been seen wearing a neon yellow halter-style bikini top and a white hat, and carrying her personal items in a black tote bag.
Ms. Klum later shared content on her Instagram account, including a video of herself walking along the beach in a bikini with a white sarong tied at her waist, as well as footage posted to her Instagram Stories showing her relaxing on a towel while eating potato chips. This marked the third occasion in recent weeks on which she has opted for topless sunbathing.
The relationship between Ms. Klum, a former Project Runway host, and Mr. Kaulitz first became public in March 2018, following their appearance together at a social event. The couple became engaged in December 2018 and were married in a private ceremony seven months later, followed by a formal celebration in Capri, Italy, in August 2019. Since their marriage, Mr. Kaulitz has assumed a step-parenting role in Ms. Klum’s family.
Ms. Klum is the mother of four children: a daughter, Leni, from a prior relationship with Flavio Briatore, and three sons—Henry, Johan, and Lou—from her marriage to singer Seal, which lasted from 2005 to 2014. Seal later adopted Leni during the marriage.
Ms. Klum’s recent beach appearance follows earlier public statements in which she expressed comfort with sharing topless or minimally clothed images.
