Afrobeats artist Innocent Idibia, professionally known as 2Baba, and his spouse, Natasha Osawaru, were reportedly involved in a contentious off-camera exchange during a Monday Instagram Live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze.
The session included two of Mr. Idibia’s former management associates, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, who alleged that Ms. Osawaru exerted significant control over his personal and professional affairs. The former managers also referenced previous incidents involving the couple, including an alleged domestic disturbance in the United Kingdom.
During the broadcast, Mr. Idibia joined the livestream and instructed his former managers to refrain from discussing his private matters. Subsequently, voices identified as those of the singer and his spouse were reportedly heard in the background before the session was terminated.
This incident has intensified public attention on the couple’s relationship, which became publicly known following Mr. Idibia’s separation from actress Annie Idibia in January. He proposed to Ms. Osawaru in February, and the couple were married in July.
The recent controversy follows prior claims that Mr. Idibia was briefly detained by law enforcement in the United Kingdom after an alleged altercation with Ms. Osawaru during his tour in October. While Mr. Idibia has denied these allegations, attributing his absence from a scheduled performance to a medical emergency, the matter was revisited during the livestream.#newsafro_
