Selena Gomez’s mother-in-law, Sandra Levin, faced a terrifying ordeal on Monday evening when masked burglars broke into her Studio City home in Los Angeles. According to NBC4, Levin, whose son is music producer Benny Blanco, hid in a second-floor bathroom to avoid detection.
The intruders, dressed in black, entered an adjoining bedroom and were reportedly startled to find someone at home. They fled the scene before police arrived, responding to the triggered security alarm. Levin was unharmed, and it remains unclear if the burglars took any items. Authorities said the men had accessed the property through a sliding glass door around 9:30 p.m. The LAPD has not confirmed if the suspects were armed.
The incident comes amid a slight rise in residential burglaries across Los Angeles, with some neighborhoods, including Encino and West LA, experiencing higher rates.
The break-in coincides with an especially happy period for Gomez and Blanco. The couple tied the knot in September, and Gomez has described the early months of their marriage as “a dream,” sharing heartfelt reflections about the joyous milestone on Apple Music 1 and social media.#newsafro_
