Content creator and actress, Rosemary Isong, has publicly disclosed the manner in which she manages incidents of cyber-bullying and adverse commentary. She affirmed that she has cultivated a resilient disposition that insulates her from the potential harm of online negativity.
In an interview granted to Saturday Beats, Isong clarified that disparaging remarks made in digital spaces do not exert any adverse influence on her well-being. She stated:
“With respect to backlash and online bullying, such conduct does not affect me because I had developed a thick skin even prior to commencing content creation. I read such comments and simply laugh, as they do not reflect my true person. These individuals only perceive the aspects of my life that I elect to publish. Before releasing any content, I subject it to repeated review and ask myself, ‘Are you prepared for the possible reactions?’ Consequently, I am not troubled by their remarks.”
When reflecting on the most significant sacrifice undertaken in furtherance of her professional aspirations, actress Rosemary Isong recounted her relocation to Lagos without financial security or institutional support. She characterized the decision to leave her comfort zone as a pivotal and defining moment in her life.
She stated:
“The greatest sacrifice I made was relocating to Lagos without any assurance of accommodation. I abandoned everything familiar, including a suitor who had expressed an intention to marry me, as he did not share or support my vision. I am gratified, however, that he has since acknowledged the extent of my progress and expressed a desire to reconcile. Nevertheless, I do not return to past relationships once I have moved forward.”#newsafro_
