Gloria Estefan and Emilio Estefan are reportedly weighing legal action against one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ accusers after being referenced in a lawsuit that has since been dismissed.
The couple, who were approached in New York City this week, each indicated to TMZ that they were considering pursuing claims after their names — and their Miami residence — were mentioned in connection with human trafficking allegations lodged against the Bad Boy Records founder.
In the now-dismissed lawsuit, the plaintiff alleged that he was drugged and transported to one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged “freak off” gatherings on Star Island, Miami — purportedly accessing the location through a supposed underground tunnel connecting the Estefans’ residence to Combs’ property.
Gloria Estefan dismissed the allegations outright, publicly characterizing the claim of a “secret tunnel” as a baseless “fantasy,” and adding that the accuser would have considerable explaining to do. Emilio Estefan similarly repudiated the assertions, labeling them “ridiculous,” and emphasizing the physical impossibility of such a tunnel given that both properties rest upon an island surrounded by water.
The Estefans underscored their position that they would not permit unfounded allegations to damage their reputations, with both indicating that potential legal remedies remain under consideration.
Meanwhile, Combs awaits sentencing following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He also continues to face wide-ranging civil litigation, with over 100 individuals having accused him of assault, allegations which he has repeatedly denied.#newsafro_
