She attributed her weight loss primarily to the cumulative stress arising from various personal circumstances, stating: “I’m going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me.”
Ms. Childs further expressed concern for her mother’s ongoing health issues, stating that her mother remains emotionally distressed and fears a recurrence of a prior cardiac event. She responded to speculation surrounding her eating habits, clarifying: “People think I’m not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I’m a bit heavier than I am at the moment… It’s the result of pure stress. We’re also having renovations done in the midst of parenting four kids.”
Despite these challenges, Ms. Childs affirmed her resilience, remarking: “I’m strong, I’ve been in this industry for 15 years. I’ve had lots of people concerned about me, which I completely understand, but yes, people can be so quick to judge.”
She also disclosed that she had experimented with weight-loss injections approximately 18 months ago, which resulted in adverse side effects, including persistent vomiting episodes, and subsequently discontinued their use.
