Over the weekend, actor Vin Diesel, aged 57, made a significant and unexpected announcement regarding the final installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
Appearing on stage at Fuel Fest in Pomona, California, on Saturday evening, Diesel provided an update concerning Fast X: Part 2. During his appearance, he was observed wearing a shirt emblazoned with the words “Fast X Part 2 Los Angeles Production 2025,” which appeared to reference the scheduled timeline and location for production.
In his remarks, Diesel disclosed that he had presented three specific conditions to Universal Pictures as prerequisites for his involvement in the concluding chapter of the long-running film series.
Vin Diesel disclosed that Universal Pictures approached him with a formal request to schedule the final installment of the Fast & Furious franchise for release in April 2027.
In response, Diesel indicated his conditional agreement, outlining three non-negotiable stipulations for his continued participation in the project:
That the narrative be brought back to its original setting in Los Angeles;
That the film reintegrate core thematic elements of car culture and street racing, which defined the franchise’s early identity; and
