Acclaimed Ghanaian filmmaker Shirley Frimpong-Manso is set to make her theatrical directorial debut with Honeymoon Hotel, a vibrant stage play scheduled to run from June 20 to 22, 2025, at the National Theatre in Accra.
Adapted from a work by Stephen Yaw Oppong, Honeymoon Hotel is being brought to life under the auspices of Africa Arts Network. The production boasts a star-studded cast, including Andrew Tandoh, Godwin Namboh, James Gardiner, Ama K. Abebrese, Gadedde Segbefia, and Joselyn Dumas.
Frimpong-Manso, renowned for her compelling narratives and strong female leads in films such as The Perfect Picture, Adams Apples, and Potato Potahto, expressed her excitement about this new venture, describing it as a “fresh challenge” for her creative vision.
