Murphy’s eldest son, Eric Murphy, 35, and Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, 29, quietly wed earlier this month after four years of dating. The news was confirmed by Eddie Murphy himself during a May 29 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he stated:
“Actually, they got married, like, two weeks ago.”
The couple had previously announced their engagement in late 2024, but opted for an intimate ceremony, foregoing the anticipated larger celebration.
The couple shared a video of the proposal on their respective Instagram accounts late last year, captioning it:
