Rescuers in Gaza reported that six people were killed and several others wounded in pre-dawn Israeli airstrikes on Sunday, targeting areas in both northern and central Gaza.
According to civil defence spokesman Mahmud Bassal, five individuals died in a strike on a residential home in Jabalia, northern Gaza. An additional fatality occurred in a drone strike on tents sheltering displaced civilians west of Nuseirat, in central Gaza.
The Israeli military has intensified its operations in the enclave, describing the recent escalation as part of a renewed offensive aimed at dismantling Hamas infrastructure and command.
Among the victims was a particularly tragic case: Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, a pediatrician at the Nasser Medical Complex, lost nine of her ten children in an airstrike on their home in Khan Younis. Her husband and surviving child are currently in intensive care with severe injuries.
