As of April 2025, there is no public information or official announcement indicating that Nigerian Afrobeats artist CKay has exited Warner Music South Africa. In fact, CKay remains affiliated with Warner Music Africa (formerly Warner Music South Africa) and Atlantic Records. He also operates his own imprint, Boyfriend Music, under the Warner umbrella .
CKay’s association with Warner Music South Africa began in late 2020, following his departure from Chocolate City, a Nigerian label that had a partnership with Warner Music Group . Since then, he has released significant projects, including his debut album Sad Romance in September 2022.
August 2024, CKay launched his own management and publishing company, Boyfriend Music, further solidifying his presence in the music industry .
