Lily Allen has returned to social media, sharing a series of upbeat snaps in her first posts since checking into an £8,000-a-week trauma center. The singer, who has been privately focusing on her well-being, appeared in good spirits as she offered fans a glimpse into her recovery journey.
After facing challenges upon her return to the US, Lily Allen announced she would be taking a break from her podcast, which she co-hosts with best friend Miquita Oliver. She addressed speculation about her potentially returning to rehab, urging fans to disregard such rumors tied to her past struggles with addiction.
Following a brief hiatus since the start of the new year, Lily has made a return to social media, sharing a series of cheerful snaps. In one, she appeared in high spirits as she enjoyed a day out with her friend, actor Daniel Nguyen.
Lily Allen showcased her unique sense of style as she sported quirky skeleton leggings paired with a longline cardigan adorned with scorpion patterns during her return to social media. However, behind her fashionable appearance, the Mail on Sunday reported that her mental health had significantly worsened after returning from a holiday to her marital home in New York.
Upon arriving at the Brooklyn townhouse, it was revealed that Lily felt deeply “triggered” by the thought of her husband, David, being elsewhere in the city with another woman. A source shared, “It was very painful for Lily to return home. David used to be her savior, and now he’s a trigger for her.”
After settling her children back into the family home and taking them to school for the new term, Lily flew herself to a trauma centre a day earlier than planned, feeling “wobbly” and desperate for an escape. She is expected to spend several weeks at the residential retreat, engaging in intensive group counseling and one-on-one therapy designed to help her “unpack” her emotions.
During her stay, she will be isolated from the outside world—having surrendered her mobile phone—and encouraged to focus on healthy eating and daily walks in the countryside. While her close friends have expressed concern over this latest chapter in her life, they remain hopeful that Lily is now on the path to recovery.
In a recent podcast episode, Lily Allen emotionally shared her struggles with the overwhelming pain she’s experiencing following her split from David. The mother of two revealed the toll it has taken on her mental health, describing months of agony, panic attacks, and an inability to focus on anything other than her emotional turmoil.
Lily recounted how, despite her efforts to push through, she was forced to leave the Miss Me? Christmas lunch after experiencing a panic attack. She also shared that a recent theater outing with friends Carla and Claire ended early when she had to leave at halftime due to the intensity of her emotions.
“I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiraling,” Lily admitted. “It’s got out of control. I’ve tried. I can’t concentrate on anything except the pain I’m going through. It’s really hard.”
When asked whether her daughters, now older, make it easier to cope, Lily explained, “Yeah, we are a support network for each other and encourage each other to talk about our feelings. But I think the main thing is telling them we’re going to get through it and be fine.”
Lily also reassured her listeners that she would return after her time off and asked them to ignore any speculation regarding her return to rehab, clarifying that it was not related to her past struggles with addiction.#newsafro_
