Bristol Palin opened up about her recent health struggles, revealing that she has been dealing with facial paralysis for over a week.
In an emotional Instagram video, the 34-year-old influencer shared that she currently has “almost zero movement” on the left side of her face. Doctors suspect she has Bell’s palsy, a condition that causes temporary paralysis or weakness of the facial muscles. Despite undergoing multiple tests, no other underlying causes have been found.
Palin admitted that she is “worried” about the condition but remains hopeful for recovery. Bell’s palsy is often linked to stress, inflammation, or viral infections, and while most cases improve with time, the recovery process can vary.
Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin, revealed that her symptoms started suddenly nine days ago when she felt her face “pulling” to the left.
“Within a couple of hours, the entire left side of my face was numb and just paralyzed,” she shared with her 551,000 Instagram followers, documenting the frightening experience.
Palin explained that she couldn’t blink her eye and had “no movement on the side of [her] face,” calling the ordeal “so crazy.” Despite the uncertainty, she remains hopeful as she awaits further medical updates.
Bristol Palin sought immediate medical attention, undergoing several tests and a CT scan. Although the results showed nothing abnormal, her doctor suspects Bell’s palsy—a temporary facial paralysis that often resolves on its own.
Palin, who was prescribed steroids and other medications, believes the condition may have been triggered by stress or lack of sleep, though she hasn’t felt particularly stressed lately.
Nine days into the ordeal, she shared that she’s regaining sensation, experiencing some pain—an encouraging sign of recovery. Reflecting on the experience, she’s gained a new appreciation for her appearance and is undergoing acupuncture to aid her healing.#newsafro_
