The next morning, Kelley rushed back to the area to check on her grandmother but was stopped at a barricade. A police officer informed her that the home had been completely destroyed in the wildfires.
Desperate to find any trace of her grandmother, Kelley went to the Pasadena Civic Center, where displaced residents were being sent. However, she was unable to locate Momma D among the evacuees. Tragically, it was later confirmed that Curry’s remains were found at the property, marking the end of a devastating loss for her family.
