Offset has reportedly moved on with Atlanta-based model Melanie Jayda, as they were spotted together in Dubai this week. In photos and video obtained by TMZ, the rapper and Jayda were seen enjoying a shopping trip on Wednesday, including a visit to a Chanel store, where they reportedly spent $100k on purchases.
This public outing follows a tense exchange between Offset and his ex-wife, Cardi B, who urged him to sign their divorce papers during an online dispute just before Christmas. Fans are watching closely as both parties navigate their personal lives and the ongoing divorce proceedings.
Offset, 33, traveled to Dubai over the New Year’s holiday to perform and invited model Melanie Jayda to join him for the festivities. Sources told TMZ that the pair have only been dating for a couple of weeks and are not yet in a serious relationship. Despite the brief timeline, Offset has been enjoying Melanie’s company and “vibe” as they explore their new romance together.
In a clip obtained by TMZ, Offset and Melanie Jayda were seen shopping together in Dubai. Melanie, dressed in a gray halter top and a fitted gray skirt, was looking at a patterned scarf. Offset wore black trousers and a dark gray shirt as they perused items in the store. Later, they explored the city, with Melanie opting for a casual sleeveless black and white-striped maxi dress and a chic updo.
This outing comes amid Offset’s ongoing divorce from Cardi B, with whom he shares three children: daughter Kulture, six; son Wave, three; and a baby girl born in September 2024. Cardi B filed for divorce in July 2024 after nearly seven years of marriage, citing cheating rumors, which Offset denied. She has requested primary custody of their two older children.
Cardi B and Offset’s divorce, filed in July 2024, has been a topic of discussion for some time. A source told Page Six that the couple had grown apart, with the decision being one Cardi B had made independently. A representative for the rapper confirmed to People that the divorce was not based on cheating rumors but was a decision long in the making. A close friend of Cardi B also mentioned that the couple had been discussing the split for a while.
On the same day Cardi filed for divorce, she announced she was pregnant with their third child. However, the couple’s ongoing tension was evident in a recent online argument, where Cardi demanded Offset sign their divorce papers “TODAY.” The spat, which took place on X (formerly Twitter), escalated when Cardi brought their issues to her followers, prompting Offset to take the conversation to his own platform. He urged her to stop the drama, focus on her music, and criticized the situation as harmful to both of them, before encouraging her to “drop the album and go up.”
