Jennifer Lopez, aged 55, was seen wearing a relaxed ensemble comprising an oversized cardigan and wide-leg blue jeans while attending a 2 PM lunch with her estranged fourth husband, Ben Affleck, 52, at the exclusive Soho House in West Hollywood on Sunday.
Despite Lopez filing for divorce on August 20, the pair reportedly exchanged Christmas gifts during their meal. According to an insider quoted by Page Six last Tuesday, “They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved.”
“Ben and Jennifer remain connected and maintain communication regarding matters involving their children,” an insider stated.
On the same day, Ben Affleck was observed picking up his child, Finn, who will turn 16 next month, from the $7.8M, four-bedroom Brentwood Park residence of his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Affleck shares three children with the 52-year-old Emmy nominee—19-year-old daughter Violet, 16-year-old Finn, and 12-year-old son Samuel—born during their decade-long marriage, which concluded amicably in 2018.
Jennifer Lopez shared an Instagram Story on Saturday featuring a video of her 16-year-old child, Emme Maribel Muñiz, singing Justin Bieber’s 2012 hit Beauty and a Beat alongside three friends while driving to Beverly Hills.
Lopez tagged her sister, Lynda Lopez, producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, and Wilhelmina Curve director Michelle Chiaravalle, captioning the clip: “When all the kids get together for the holidays!”
The Atlas producer and star is also mother to 16-year-old son Maximilian David Muñiz, whom she shares with her third ex-husband, Marc Anthony. The couple’s seven-year marriage ended in 2011.
Despite their pending divorce, Lopez and Ben Affleck maintain a professional relationship, collaborating on the recently released film Unstoppable and the upcoming project Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Affleck executive produced Unstoppable, directed by William Goldenberg, which stars Lopez as Judy Robles, a struggling single mother of five. The biopic, chronicling the life of disabled wrestling champion Anthony Robles, earned £3,112 at the UK box office last week. The film, which begins streaming on Prime Video on January 16, holds a certified fresh 81% critic approval rating from 57 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
For her role in the film, Lopez will receive the Legend & Groundbreaker Award at the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Impact Awards brunch on January 4, as reported by Variety.
Affleck also served as executive producer for Bill Condon’s adaptation of the 1992 West End musical Kiss of the Spider Woman. The film will have its world premiere on January 26 at the Eccles Theatre in Park City, Utah, during the 41st Annual Sundance Film Festival.
