The Kardashian-Jenner family is renowned for hosting an extravagant, luxurious Christmas Eve party each year, typically featuring a star-studded guest list.
Kim Kardashian stunned fans when she revealed to Vogue at the opening of her new SKIMS store in New York City on Thursday that this year’s Christmas Eve celebration will be significantly scaled down. Instead of the usual extravagant affair, Kim shared that the family will be having a more “intimate” gathering.
“We’re doing a really low-key Christmas Eve party this year just because we have a lot of construction going on,” the 44-year-old SKIMS founder explained.
Kim is currently renovating her $60 million Calabasas mansion, while Khloé is also undertaking renovations on the home she bought next to mom Kris Jenner’s in Hidden Hills.
The reality TV star added, “We’re doing a family intimate one that I’m really excited about – still dressing up to the nines because that’s what we do.”
“We’ve had some legendary Christmas Eve parties, and they’re just beginning. Our kids love them, and now all their friends want to come,” she shared with the outlet, adding, “It’s such a fun tradition.”
Last year’s celebration took place at Kim’s home and featured a star-studded guest list, including Paris Hilton.
During her conversation with Vogue on Thursday, Kim Kardashian also discussed recently breaking her foot and how she’s been using a scooter to get around.
“A girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do, broken foot and all,” the SKIMS founder said, emphasizing that nothing would stop her from visiting the brand-new flagship store for her company.
Kim broke her foot earlier this month but has not yet disclosed the details of how the injury occurred. She shared an image of her foot in a boot cast, with Fergie’s song Clumsy playing in the background and the bottom of crutches visible.
“FML,” Kim wrote alongside the photo, adding a swearing emoji. “Broken foot for the holidays.”
The mom of four isn’t letting a broken foot hinder her business promotion.
Kim was photographed leaving the grand opening of her new flagship SKIMS store in New York City on Thursday, navigating around on a black knee scooter.
