Christina Hall has reportedly enlisted Kim Kardashian’s high-profile divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, in a contentious legal battle with her husband, Josh Hall. The news follows Christina’s recent bikini getaway to Mexico, where she appeared to enjoy some downtime amid the escalating dispute. Known for handling high-stakes celebrity divorces, Wasser’s involvement signals the seriousness of the ongoing tensions between the couple.
The 41-year-old interior designer Christina Hall has officially filed a change of attorney in her ongoing legal dispute with husband Josh Hall. The filing, made last Friday in the Superior Court of California in Orange County, names Laura Wasser, the renowned divorce attorney, as her new representative.
Wasser, 56, a partner at Wasser, Cooperman & Mandles, has previously represented high-profile clients, including Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, Britney Spears, Johnny Depp, Gwen Stefani, and Kim Kardashian. Known for her expertise and assertive legal style, Wasser charges a $25,000 retainer and $900 per hour, rates she defended in a 2019 interview with The Helm: “I have no shame in asking for that amount. When I look at what my colleagues are charging, I think it’s a deal.”
The move signals Christina’s determination as she navigates this contentious legal battle.
Christina Hall’s marital woes continue as her estranged husband, 44-year-old realtor Josh Hall, filed for divorce on July 16 after less than three years of marriage. According to reports, Josh declined a seven-figure settlement and is seeking alimony, as well as rights to any HGTV or Discovery Network projects the couple worked on, including Christina in the Country, Christina on the Coast, and The Flip Off. Notably, the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, potentially complicating the proceedings.
In a candid interview with ET on November 15, Christina, 41, opened up about the challenges in her marriage, describing feeling held back: “I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that? It was not fun, to be honest.” She expressed relief at moving forward, adding that filming has been “so much easier and so much better” post-split.
Despite the legal battle, Christina recently enjoyed a girls’ getaway to Punta Mita, Mexico, sharing bikini snaps with her 1.8M Instagram followers. She captioned the post, “Scorpio season was good to me.” Christina also spent time with her children—14-year-old Taylor Reese and nine-year-old Brayden James, whom she shares with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, and five-year-old Hudson London, her son with ex-husband Ant Anstead.
Christina maintains a positive relationship with her exes, including Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, and has no issues filming alongside them or Ant, who has since moved on with actress Renée Zellweger.
