Reese Witherspoon was seen filming season four of The Morning Show alongside co-star Mark Duplass in Los Angeles on Monday. The 48-year-old actress, known for her role in Sweet Home Alabama, was spotted standing next to cop cars during the scene. Witherspoon, who portrays journalist Bradley Jackson, wore a sleek black leather jacket paired with black trousers, completing her chic look for the shoot.
Reese Witherspoon, mother to 25-year-old Ava and 21-year-old Deacon, wore her blonde hair loose with a center part while filming The Morning Show in Los Angeles. Co-star Mark Duplass, who plays producer Charlie Black, dressed in a light brown jacket and dark jeans for his scene.
Witherspoon, along with co-stars Jennifer Aniston, 55, and Tig Notaro, 53, confirmed in July that filming for the highly anticipated new season of the series had begun.
“Let @themorningshow season 4 games begin, Here we come!” Jennifer Aniston wrote on Instagram, accompanied by two red heart emojis, marking the start of filming. In a behind-the-scenes snapshot, Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Tig Notaro coordinated in white and denim outfits. Aniston wore a white tank top, jeans, and flip-flops, while Witherspoon donned a chambray shirt, white tank top, and faded dark jeans. Notaro added a denim shirt, white V-neck, and striped blue-and-white shorts. The trio smiled as they held signs displaying their names and character monikers.
Earlier this year, Aniston reflected on the dynamic between her character and Witherspoon’s. “We have a real interesting relationship. It’s like we’re family for sure,” she shared during a panel discussion at Paramount Studios.
Other The Morning Show co-stars in attendance included Karen Pittman, Notaro, Billy Crudup, Jon Hamm, Mark Duplass, and Nestor Carbonell. Witherspoon, however, was unable to attend the event.
“We love to hate each other, and we love to love each other, and I think that’s sort of a really fun dynamic that Reese and I get to play,” Jennifer Aniston said about her relationship with Reese Witherspoon on The Morning Show. She added, “And, of course, we would like to be together forever, I would think. I hope, but… we really don’t know what’s going to happen,” teasing the future direction of their storylines.
Aniston and Witherspoon’s bond dates back to 2000, when Witherspoon appeared on Friends as Rachel Green’s little sister, Jill. In a 2019 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Witherspoon recalled the moment they first met. “I was 23-years-old and had just had a baby. I was nursing Ava on set, and Jen just kept going, ‘You have a baby?’ I was like, ‘I know, it’s weird,'” she said, remembering how sweet Aniston was to her.
Witherspoon described Aniston as being particularly kind and supportive during that time. “She was so sweet to me. I was really nervous, and she was like, ‘Oh, my gosh—don’t worry about it!’ I marveled at her ability to perform in front of a live audience like that with no nerves,” she recalled.
