On October 29, 2024, Don Jazzy, the founder of Mavin Records, announced Tega Oghenejobo as the new President of the company. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he shared that Tega’s role has been expanded, and he now serves as both Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President of the prestigious record label.
Don Jazzy praised Tega for his passion and resilience, highlighting his early curiosity about the music business and his efforts in building teams and developing executives. He expressed confidence in Tega’s ability to grow Mavin and shape the future of African music, stating, “The most genius thing I have done in my life was being able to spot the passion and resilience in Tega.”
