Kato Kaelin, best known for his role as a witness in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, and his wife Nan Xue Kaelin are officially ending their marriage after less than five years together, Newsafro.com has learned.
According to court documents obtained in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the couple filed a joint petition for dissolution of marriage on Wednesday. The filing states they were married on September 17, 2021, and separated on August 1, 2025.
The documents also reveal that there are no minor children involved, no shared real estate, and no community assets or debts to divide. Both parties have reportedly waived any right to spousal support, signaling a relatively straightforward split on paper.
Despite the breakup, Kaelin had kind words for his estranged wife, telling Newsafro.com that Nan is “the most wonderful and beautiful woman in the world,” adding that they will “4EVER be great friends” and asking for privacy as they move forward.
Kaelin has remained a recognizable pop culture figure for decades due to his involvement in the O.J. Simpson trial, where he testified as a key witness after staying in Simpson’s guest house around the time of the murders.
The divorce filing marks a quiet end to the couple’s marriage, with both appearing to keep the proceedings amicable.#newsafro_
