Hayden Panettiere has shared a disturbing experience from her past, revealing a moment on a boat that left her feeling trapped and terrified.
In a recent conversation on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, the actress opened up about an incident she has also detailed in her memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning. She recalled that she was just 18 at the time and not fully aware of what was happening around her.
According to her account, a trusted industry acquaintance led her down into a small room on a boat while at sea. There, she says she was placed in a bed with a well-known Hollywood figure who was undressed. Once the acquaintance left the room, she described feeling shocked and panicked, saying she immediately realized something was very wrong and tried to figure out how to get out of the situation.
Panettiere explained that in that moment she felt overwhelmed and frightened, insisting to herself that what was happening was unacceptable. She said she scrambled to regain control of the situation as quickly as she could.
