Cynthia Bailey is mourning the loss of her close friend and longtime collaborator, fashion designer and celebrity stylist Kithe Brewster, who has passed away at the age of 60.
In an emotional statement, Bailey shared that she is “heartbroken” over his death, describing Brewster as far more than a creative partner. According to her, he was like family — “a brother” — and someone she deeply trusted both personally and professionally.
She also praised his artistic vision, calling him a true innovator who was ahead of his time in the fashion world. Brewster’s creative influence even extended to Bailey’s personal style moments on reality television, including helping inspire a standout platinum silver wedding dress she wore on an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Bailey went on to remember him as fearless in both fashion and life, saying he always encouraged her to embrace individuality and take bold risks with her style. Beyond his talent, she highlighted his kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support for the people closest to him.
Over the years, Brewster worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Beyoncé, Iman, Julianne Moore, and Janelle Monáe, building a reputation as a visionary force in the fashion industry.
Bailey expressed gratitude for the time they shared, noting that she stood by him through both good and difficult moments. She ended her tribute with a heartfelt farewell, saying she will miss him deeply and hopes he is now at peace.
