LeAnn Rimes has been forced to step back from several upcoming performances after revealing she is dealing with ongoing and “severe” health issues affecting her voice.
The Grammy-winning singer shared the update with fans on Instagram Stories, explaining that a recent bout of COVID-19 developed into severe laryngitis. She added that a doctor’s examination, including a scope of her vocal cords, confirmed the condition and made it impossible for her to continue performing as planned.
Rimes expressed deep disappointment over the cancellations, saying she was heartbroken not to be on stage but needed to focus on recovery. The affected shows, originally scheduled in Illinois and Ohio, have now been rescheduled for November, with tickets remaining valid or refundable for those unable to attend.
This latest setback comes after a difficult period for the singer, who previously had to cancel performances earlier in the week due to illness. Despite the disruption, she reassured fans that her priority is getting her health under control so she can return to touring safely.
Over the past year, LeAnn Rimes has also been open about other health-related experiences, including undergoing an intensive medical procedure aimed at detoxifying her blood and a widely publicized onstage dental incident during a live performance.
Even with these challenges, Rimes has consistently expressed gratitude for her fans’ support, promising that she looks forward to returning to the stage once she has fully recovered.#newsafro_
