Rapper Xzibit is opening up about serious financial strain as he heads toward a heated divorce trial with his estranged wife, Krista Joiner.
According to court documents, the rapper claims he is facing more than $1.3 million in combined tax debt, owed to both the State of California and the IRS. On top of that, he says he is also carrying over $1 million in personal debt and an additional $2 million in business obligations.
Despite reporting a monthly income of about $66,000, Xzibit argues that his expenses are high and his financial situation is unstable, noting that much of his recent earnings have come from touring and music promotion that may not continue at the same level going forward.
In the filings, he also addressed spousal support, stating that his estranged wife earns her own income and should not continue receiving additional support once their divorce is finalized. He claims he has already been paying temporary support but is now pushing to have it reduced or ended entirely.
The rapper and Krista, who married in 2014 and separated in 2021, share a son and currently have joint custody arrangements in place. Xzibit is also paying monthly child support as part of the ongoing proceedings.
As the case moves toward trial, the financial disclosures paint a picture of mounting debt, lifestyle pressures, and a divorce battle still far from over.#newsafro_
