Kendra Duggar, wife of Joseph Duggar, has been taken into custody in Arkansas, authorities confirm.
According to reports, a warrant had been issued for Kendra’s arrest on Friday, prompting police to visit the Duggar family compound in Washington County. She was not there at the time, but she has now been apprehended and is facing charges of allegedly endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment.
The arrest comes shortly after Joseph Duggar was taken into custody in Tontitown, Arkansas, charged with lewd and lascivious conduct involving a minor. Authorities say the allegations stem from incidents reported by a 14-year-old girl, who claims the events occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020. Joseph is also facing multiple counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment—charges similar to those Kendra now faces in Arkansas.
Police have clarified that the Arkansas charges are separate from Joseph’s Florida case. Joseph appeared in court via Zoom on Friday, waived his right to an extradition hearing, and agreed to be extradited to Florida, where authorities have 30 days to transfer him from the Arkansas jail.
The Duggar family now faces mounting legal scrutiny as both Joseph and Kendra navigate serious criminal allegations in two states.#newsafro_
