Hilary Swank publicly shared a personal update on or about Sunday regarding a family vacation to Whistler, Canada. The 51-year-old Academy Award recipient posted a photograph via her Instagram Stories depicting herself and her two-year-old son, Ohm, during a skiing excursion.
In the accompanying caption, Swank expressed that she “had the best time” with her loved ones and remarked positively on the hospitality of Canadians. The image reflects that she was attired in winter apparel, including a metallic puffer jacket, dark trousers, brown boots, and a burgundy beanie with gloves. Her son was dressed in a blue snowsuit, and his face was obscured with a blue heart emoji in furtherance of maintaining his privacy.
Swank additionally disclosed that her family lodged at Blackcomb Springs Suites, noting that the accommodations are family-friendly and pet-permissive. She described the establishment as accommodating and kind. Publicly available rates for the hotel reportedly commence at approximately $170 per night for standard suites and may exceed $1,000 per night for larger slope-side accommodations.
In addition to Ohm, Swank is the mother of his twin sister, Aya. She welcomed the twins at age 48 with her spouse, businessman Philip Schneider, whom she married in 2018 after meeting on a blind date in November 2016. The actress has consistently maintained a policy of not publicly revealing her children’s faces, sharing only images in which their identities are concealed.
In December, Swank shared another image of the twins observing a decorated Christmas tree, accompanied by a holiday message extending well wishes for the new year.
In a prior interview with Women’s Health, Swank discussed her decision to freeze her eggs at age 37, explaining that doing so afforded her flexibility regarding the timing of motherhood. She indicated that becoming a parent later in life aligned with personal and professional circumstances, and stated that she considers herself more patient and present as a mother at this stage.
Swank is a two-time Academy Award winner for Best Actress, having received the honor for her performances in Boys Don’t Cry and Million Dollar Baby.#newsafro_
