Nicole Kidman published a stylized photograph depicting herself reclining in bed as she prepared to observe her first Valentine’s Day following her separation from her former spouse, Keith Urban.
In September, it was publicly reported that the parties had separated after approximately nineteen (19) years of marriage. Thereafter, a petition for dissolution of marriage was filed by Kidman later that month, with the divorce reportedly finalized in January.
Subsequent to the announcement of the separation, prior performance footage of Urban resurfaced online, including recordings featuring onstage interactions with guitarist Maggie Baugh, aged 25, which prompted public speculation regarding the nature of their association. In one instance during a performance in Las Vegas, Urban was recorded gesturing toward Baugh while singing the lyric, “I was born to love you.” In another performance in Chicago, he allegedly altered the lyric “Baby I’ll be the fighter” to “Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” further fueling conjecture. No formal confirmation of any such relationship has been issued.
Kidman’s recent social media post, captioned “Happy Galentines,” featured her seated in bed wearing a pink striped pajama top, partially covered by bedding, and illuminated by natural light. The term “Galentine’s Day” was popularized in 2010 by an episode of Parks and Recreation, in which the character Leslie Knope—portrayed by Amy Poehler—hosted a celebration for female friends on the eve of Valentine’s Day.
The former couple share two minor children, Sunday Rose, aged 17, and Faith Margaret, aged 15. Court documents reportedly indicate that the parties entered into a negotiated settlement agreement resolving all ancillary matters. According to the decree, both parties waived any entitlement to child support and spousal support, notwithstanding reported monthly incomes in excess of $100,000 each. Each party agreed to bear his or her respective legal fees, with remaining court costs to be divided equally.
The decree further provides that all marital assets—including but not limited to household furnishings, vehicles, financial accounts, investments, and personal effects—were allocated to the mutual satisfaction of the parties, with each retaining property currently in his or her possession. The parenting plan reportedly allocates approximately 306 custodial days per annum to Kidman and 59 days to Urban, described as every other weekend.
The documentation expressly states that both parties voluntarily declined to engage in formal discovery procedures, including interrogatories, document production requests, or depositions, thereby indicating an intention to resolve the matter without adversarial litigation.
Public commentary has also referenced unverified reports suggesting that Urban has experienced personal and professional challenges following the dissolution of the marriage. Representatives for both parties have not publicly commented on these assertions.#newsafro_
