Gabbie Gonzalez has been released from custody after posting $2 million bail following her arrest in an alleged murder-for-hire plot, TMZ has learned.
The influencer walked free Friday shortly after 4 PM PT after a judge approved her release under strict conditions during her arraignment a day earlier. Along with the hefty bail amount, the court ordered Gonzalez to wear a GPS monitor, stay away from her daughter and the child’s father, singer Jack Avery, and avoid posting about the criminal case on social media.
Authorities claim Gonzalez, her father Francisco Gonzalez, and friend Kai Cordrey were arrested this week after allegedly attempting to hire someone to kill Avery, who shares a child with Gonzalez. The former couple had reportedly been involved in a bitter custody dispute.
According to investigators, Gonzalez’s father allegedly suggested it would be easier to “get rid” of Avery amid the ongoing conflict. Prosecutors say Gonzalez and Cordrey later approached former MMA fighter Dustin Barca in an effort to intimidate Avery, though Barca allegedly refused to participate.
Court documents also claim Gonzalez wanted proof Avery had been killed, with prosecutors alleging she requested a finger as evidence of his death. Officials say no actual attempt on Avery’s life was ever carried out.
Avery addressed the shocking allegations publicly on Thursday, thanking law enforcement officers and supporters for helping keep him and his family safe during the investigation.#newsafro_
