Pooh Shiesty has been arrested by the FBI in connection with an alleged kidnapping and robbery involving fellow rapper Gucci Mane. According to the Department of Justice, the incident took place on January 10 at a Dallas music studio, where Shiesty and his alleged co-conspirator Big30 reportedly forced several individuals at gunpoint, including music industry professionals invited to discuss Shiesty’s contract.
Federal authorities claim that during the incident, Shiesty coerced one victim into signing a release form, which would free him from his previous recording contract with Mane’s 1017 label. Officials also allege that Shiesty and his crew stole Rolex watches, cash, and other valuables, some of which were later posted on social media by the suspects.
Eight of the nine alleged participants, including Shiesty, were arrested across Memphis, Nashville, and Dallas. Authorities also raided Shiesty’s family home in Memphis, arresting his father in the process. The DOJ released photos showing injuries sustained by victims during the alleged armed takeover.
If convicted, Shiesty could face a return to federal prison, just six months after his previous release, highlighting the serious legal consequences he now faces amid this high-profile case.#newsafro_
