Kylie Jenner opened up about an emotional moment with her 8-year-old daughter, Stormi, when she explained how the Kardashian-Jenner family rose to fame. The 28-year-old makeup mogul shared the story on this week’s episode of the Big Bro with Kid Cudi podcast, recalling how the conversation unexpectedly left her in tears.
Jenner sat Stormi down to explain that the family’s hit reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which debuted in 2007, was what catapulted them into the spotlight. She avoided mentioning her half-sister Kim Kardashian’s infamous sex tape, instead focusing on the show itself. “I sat her down, and I’m like, ‘We started a television show when I was a year older than you, and that’s why we’re all in this together,’” Jenner said. Stormi asked if she could watch an episode, and when Jenner obliged, the experience left her “weeping” in her bed afterward.
Jenner reflected on growing up in front of millions as the show aired for 14 years, documenting the blended Kardashian-Jenner family’s life, including Caitlyn Jenner, Rob Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and her siblings. She admitted that seeing her daughter watch the show stirred feelings of nostalgia and gratitude, as well as a sense of mourning for the closeness they once shared living under the same roof.
The reality star also expressed concerns about how fame might affect her children as they grow older. “When Stormi turns 15, I don’t know how I’m going to handle it. We don’t know how [fame] is going to affect them, and it’s really scary,” she said. Jenner emphasized that her children help keep her grounded amid the family’s ever-expanding public life.
In the same interview, Jenner shared rare remarks about her relationship with Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet, whom she’s been dating since 2023. She revealed her favorite of his films is Call Me By Your Name and expressed excitement for the upcoming Dune 3, praising his performance in the franchise.
For Jenner, balancing family, fame, and parenthood continues to be a deeply personal and emotional journey.#newsafro_
