Afroman says he has forgiven the Ohio cops who sued him over music videos mocking them during a home raid—but that doesn’t mean he’s holding back from performing the songs.
The tracks at the center of the lawsuit, “Lemon Pound Cake” and “Will You Help Me Repair My Door,” feature footage from the raid itself. The Adams County sheriff’s deputies claimed the videos caused them emotional distress, prompting the legal battle.
Earlier this week, Afroman came out on top in court. The trial reportedly got emotional at times, with one officer breaking down while watching one of the music videos.
Even so, Afroman points out that the sheriff’s office has yet to reimburse him for damage allegedly done to his home during the raid, making it clear his forgiveness has limits.
Despite all the drama, Afroman says fans can expect him to keep performing the songs—though the deputies might want to steer clear of his shows for now.#newsafro_
