Joseph Duggar, known from the reality series 19 Kids and Counting, has been arrested in Florida on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior involving sexual activity with a minor. The arrest comes after an investigation by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office into allegations made by a 14-year-old girl, who reported that the incidents occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach in 2020, when she was just 9 years old.
According to authorities, Joseph Duggar, 31, allegedly asked the child to sit on his lap and later on a couch under a blanket, during which he manipulated her underwear, grazed her genitals, and rubbed her thighs. Investigators say Duggar apologized afterward, but the girl’s father confronted him on March 17, 2026. Duggar reportedly admitted to the actions and was formally charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim under 12, as well as lewd behavior by an adult toward a minor.
