Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have reached a detailed custody and support agreement for their 4-year-old son, Cruz Taylor, which includes strict alcohol and drug restrictions.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, neither parent will pay traditional child support; instead, they’ll cover costs and expenses for Cruz while he is in their custody. Under the arrangement, Jax has Cruz every other weekend and Wednesday nights, giving Brittany slightly more time with their son.
The pair agreed to joint legal custody, sharing responsibility for decisions regarding Cruz’s health, education, and overall welfare. Brittany will have the final say on health matters if they cannot reach an agreement.
The plan also includes a holiday schedule, a 6-month waiting period before Cruz can meet either parent’s new significant other, and a mutual commitment to stay sober—avoiding alcohol, marijuana, or illegal drugs—while caring for him. Both parents have pledged to maintain civility, avoid trash-talking, and make a good-faith effort to celebrate Cruz’s birthdays together.
Jax and Brittany, who married in 2019 after a four-year on-and-off relationship, split in 2024. Brittany filed for divorce while Jax was undergoing treatment for bipolar disorder and PTSD, citing the relationship as toxic. Since then, Brittany has focused on herself, including a brief relationship with Brandon Hanson and a “mommy makeover” last fall.
The custody agreement appears aimed at keeping the co-parenting arrangement as amicable as possible for Cruz’s well-being.#newsafro_
