Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have confirmed that accommodation expenses will be provided for travelers stranded in Dubai, as reported by both guests and state media outlets.
Previously, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism indicated that similar arrangements would cover the costs of tens of thousands of travelers stranded in Abu Dhabi due to ongoing airspace closures affecting the region.
The closures have resulted from military action in the Middle East, specifically attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, followed by retaliatory strikes on transport hubs and Gulf states hosting U.S. military installations. Thousands of flights have been canceled since the onset of the conflict.
Travelers are advised to maintain communication with their respective airlines and monitor official alerts issued by their countries of origin. Certain governments are evaluating plans for the repatriation of their citizens, while others await indications regarding the potential resumption of commercial flights.
