Denise Richards was seen outside the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles amid ongoing divorce proceedings with her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, presenting a composed and confident appearance.
Richards, 55, arrived in an all-black ensemble consisting of a skintight, long-sleeved top, a leather midi skirt, peep-toe pumps, and accessorized with a studded leather clutch and oversized cat-eye sunglasses. She was accompanied by her attorney and a security detail. Despite the contentious nature of the proceedings, Richards appeared upbeat and in good spirits.
In contrast, Phypers arrived with a solemn demeanor, dressed in a light blue dress shirt layered under a zip-up jacket and tweed coat, paired with dark jeans and patent leather oxfords.
The couple, married for nearly seven years before Phypers filed for divorce in July 2025 citing “irreconcilable differences,” do not share biological children. Phypers had sought to legally adopt Richards’ youngest daughter, Eloise Joni Richards, in 2019. Richards is also mother to two older daughters, Sami and Lola Sheen, from her previous marriage to Charlie Sheen.
The divorce has been complicated by Phypers’ pending criminal charges, including two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness, for which his bail was set at $200,000. Additional disputes have arisen over property, alleged financial entitlements, and spousal support, with Richards accusing Phypers of domestic abuse and Phypers claiming financial hardship due to disrupted business operations.
Phypers recently filed legal documents requesting temporary spousal support from Richards, arguing that the court should maintain “financial fairness during litigation” despite his ongoing criminal case and restraining order. Richards continues to contest these claims, and the divorce remains actively pending before the court.#newsafro_
