Shia LaBeouf was recently observed in public with a notably refreshed appearance following a visit to a barbershop, in the aftermath of his recent arrest arising from an alleged altercation during Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans.
The 39-year-old actor was seen sporting a newly trimmed haircut and clean-shaven beard only days after being taken into custody in connection with an incident at the Royal Street Inn & R Bar. During the outing, which followed several evenings spent in and around the Bourbon Street area, he appeared in casual attire and was photographed keeping a low profile while entering his vehicle. Observers noted that he ran his hands through his hair while carrying a beanie and gloves.
He was dressed in a red plaid fleece jacket layered over a dark hoodie and cropped joggers, paired with running shoes and long socks. He also carried a Los Angeles Kings beanie and yellow leather gloves.
The appearance change comes amid reports that LaBeouf was seen in the company of an unidentified woman shortly after the dissolution of his long-term relationship with actress Mia Goth. The couple married in 2016 and welcomed a daughter, Isabel, in 2022, before reportedly separating privately last year.
Authorities arrested LaBeouf on two misdemeanor counts of simple battery in connection with allegations that he struck multiple individuals during the final day of Mardi Gras celebrations. One individual, identified as Jeffrey Damnit, has publicly alleged that LaBeouf directed derogatory remarks toward him and engaged in physical conduct. The matter remains subject to legal proceedings.
This incident is not the actor’s first encounter with legal controversy. His former partner, FKA Twigs, previously initiated legal action alleging assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress during their relationship between 2018 and 2019. The parties subsequently reached an out-of-court settlement in July 2025. LaBeouf has not admitted liability in connection with those claims.
Reports further indicate that Goth has been residing at the couple’s Pasadena property, while LaBeouf relocated in December to a residence near the French Quarter in New Orleans. In 2024, law enforcement officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance at the Pasadena address; however, no formal police report was filed at that time.
LaBeouf, who recently completed production on the film The Rooster Prince, has a documented history of prior arrests dating back several decades, including charges related to disorderly conduct, public intoxication, trespass, and other offenses. As with all criminal matters, any current allegations remain subject to adjudication, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.#newsafro_
