Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, 38, star of Jersey Shore, has publicly revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer, specifically adenocarcinoma.
Polizzi shared the update in a TikTok video, detailing that she had undergone a cone biopsy earlier this year, which confirmed the early-stage cancer. She emphasized that while the diagnosis was not what she had hoped for, catching it early significantly improves treatment outcomes.
She is now under the care of an oncologist and is considering a hysterectomy, while retaining her ovaries, depending on further test results such as an upcoming PET scan. Polizzi encouraged her followers to prioritize regular Pap smears, citing her own struggles with abnormal results and precancerous cells over the past three to four years. She stressed the importance of early detection to avoid more intensive treatments like chemotherapy.
Reflecting on the emotional impact, Polizzi admitted that the prospect of a hysterectomy was particularly difficult given her identity as a woman, though she highlighted her determination to focus on her health for the sake of her three children: sons Lorenzo, 13, Angelo, six, and daughter Giovanna, 11, whom she shares with husband Jionni LaValle, 38.
Polizzi also acknowledged her past lapses in keeping up with medical appointments and expressed hope that sharing her experience would encourage others to stay vigilant about their own health.#newsafro_
