Following her finalized divorce from Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, 58, is reportedly being romantically pursued by businessman Paul Salem, 62, Chairman of MGM Resorts International.
According to published reports, Mr. Salem has communicated to associates his interest in dating Ms. Kidman. Sources indicate that while the two share mutual acquaintances and have met on two occasions in group environments, they have not spent time together privately and are not presently in a dating relationship. Ms. Kidman is said to remain single and not actively pursuing a relationship at this time. Representatives for both parties have reportedly been contacted for comment.
Mr. Salem, who joined MGM’s Board of Directors in 2018 and became Chairman in 2020, previously served for nearly three decades as a senior executive at Providence Equity, a private equity firm managing an estimated $50 billion portfolio. He is also among the ownership group of the Worcester Red Sox. Mr. Salem holds academic credentials from Brown University and Harvard Business School. He divorced his former spouse, Navyn Salem, in 2021; they share four daughters.
The reported romantic interest arises approximately five months after Ms. Kidman’s separation from Mr. Urban, whom she married in 2006. The parties finalized their divorce in January following her filing in September. They share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
Court filings indicate that the former couple reached a comprehensive settlement agreement prior to formal proceedings. Both parties waived claims to child support and spousal support, despite each reportedly earning monthly incomes in excess of $100,000. The decree provides that each parent shall bear his or her own legal fees, with any remaining court costs to be divided equally.
The property division terms stipulate that assets—including real property, personal property, financial accounts, investments, and vehicles—were allocated to the mutual satisfaction of the parties, with each retaining property currently in his or her possession. Under the agreed parenting plan, Ms. Kidman will have primary physical custody for approximately 306 days annually, while Mr. Urban will exercise parenting time for 59 days per year, generally on alternating weekends.
The settlement documents reflect that the matter was resolved amicably through counsel, without formal discovery proceedings. Reports further suggest that Mr. Urban has since experienced personal reflection regarding the dissolution of the marriage; however, no formal statements have been issued confirming such sentiments.#newsafro_
