Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has announced the passing of her mother, revealing that the loss occurred on the eve of her 55th birthday celebration, and that she was not informed until after the event.
In an emotional Instagram post on Monday, Williams stated that her mother passed away on February 4, one day before her birthday on February 5, and that the news had been withheld from her at the time. She described her late mother as her “cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner,” noting that the reality of her loss has yet to fully sink in.
Williams indicated that her family has chosen to maintain privacy during this period while requesting prayers and support from well-wishers. “Your love and prayers will mean a lot to me and my siblings this period. Burial details will be announced later,” she wrote.
Since the announcement, condolences have poured in from colleagues and fans in the entertainment industry. Actress Aisha Lawal wrote, “Allahu Olóhun a te won si afefe rere.
