Andre, the minor son of actress Tonto Dikeh, has formally adopted the surname of his biological father, Olakunle Churchill, following a reconciliation between the parents. The development marks the first public reunion of Dikeh and Churchill in nearly a decade.
Both parties shared photographs and video content on social media documenting time spent with Andre, depicting a familial environment characterized by shared meals and bonding activities. In his statement, Mr. Churchill expressed pride in his son’s upbringing and acknowledged Ms. Dikeh’s role in raising him. He also credited Pastor Jerry Eze for spiritual guidance during the process.
Ms. Dikeh reflected on the reunion in a public post, attributing the resolution of prior disputes to providential intervention and describing the moment as one of restoration.
As part of the reconciliation, Ms. Dikeh publicly referred to her son by his father’s surname, “Andre Churchill,” replacing the previously used “Andre Dikeh,” which had been in effect for nearly ten years following the couple’s separation.
Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill were married in 2015, with the union dissolving in less than two years amid publicized allegations, legal disputes, and custody disagreements. The adoption of the surname and the renewed familial engagement represents a formal closure to prior conflicts and a significant milestone in the family’s public narrative.#newsafro_
