Courtney Stodden has disclosed a further material modification to her physical appearance subsequent to a recently undertaken rhinoplasty procedure reportedly valued at approximately $20,000.
On Friday, the 31-year-old media personality and advocate against underage marriage published an image on Instagram depicting herself posing on a beach at sunset while wearing a bikini. In the post, Stodden revealed a departure from her customary blonde hairstyle, debuting brunette hair instead, and captioned the image, “New year! New hair!” to her audience of approximately 323,000 followers.
In the days preceding the post, Stodden shared additional beach photographs and stated that she had recently experienced an improved sense of personal security and well-being.
It was further disclosed that in the previous autumn, Stodden underwent a series of cosmetic and corrective procedures, including a revision rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and facial fat grafting. In public statements following the surgeries, she described the recovery process as uncomplicated and expressed satisfaction with the initial results, also noting an improvement in her breathing and sense of smell.
Stodden previously underwent nasal surgery in 2016 and has publicly acknowledged additional cosmetic procedures over the years, including a breast augmentation in 2013, long-term use of lip fillers later dissolved, and the placement of porcelain veneers.
The public figure first came to widespread attention following her marriage in 2011, at age 16, to actor Doug Hutchinson, who was 51 at the time, with parental consent having been legally provided. That marriage was dissolved by divorce finalized in 2020.
Since that time, Stodden has become an outspoken advocate against underage marriage, citing concerns about its continued legality in numerous jurisdictions and the potential for abuse under existing laws. She has stated that her advocacy is motivated by a desire to prevent others from experiencing similar circumstances.
In 2024, Stodden married musician Jared Safier. She has also reflected publicly on her earlier marriage while working on a Lifetime biographical film about her life, I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story, which she produced alongside her current husband. In interviews, she described revisiting those experiences as emotionally challenging and characterized her life story as extraordinary in nature.#newsafro_
