A$AP Rocky has made rare public comments regarding the personalities of his three children with international music star Rihanna, describing their parenting approach as relaxed and self-assured.
The 37-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, stated that his two sons exhibit markedly different temperaments despite their close ages. According to Rocky, his three-year-old son, RZA Athelston Mayers, is notably reserved, while his two-year-old son, Riot Rose Mayers, is outgoing and highly sociable.
Speaking during an interview on the NYT Popcast, Rocky explained that although the boys are approximately 14 months apart, their personalities contrast sharply. He described RZA as introverted and uninterested in sweets, while Riot is more expressive, enjoys attention, and displays typical childhood preferences.
Rocky also spoke about the couple’s third child, a daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, who was born on September 13. He stated that the infant has quickly become a focal point of the household and noted her expressive nature, describing her as active, responsive, and closely resembling him.
In January, Rihanna appeared to hint publicly at the possibility of expanding their family further after responding to a social media post discussing future pregnancy plans.
Rocky and Rihanna first met professionally in 2011 and began a romantic relationship in 2020. Rocky has previously spoken about their compatibility, citing shared backgrounds and personal connections, including family ties to Barbados.
Rihanna remained publicly supportive of Rocky during his recent legal proceedings relating to a 2021 incident, which concluded with his acquittal on assault-related charges in February.
Separately, Rocky announced a 42-date international tour in support of his fourth studio album, scheduled to commence in May, with ticket sales rolling out across multiple regions later this month.#newsafro_
