She recounted a recent conversation with a married friend she had not spoken to in months. According to Vee, after brief pleasantries, the friend immediately inquired about her marital status, completely overlooking her career or personal well-being.
Vee said, “Nobody ever mentally prepared me for the amount of conversations I would have as a woman turning 30 this year… The next thing she asked was, ‘When are you getting married?’ I am tired.” She stressed that, given current economic challenges, such questions often feel disconnected from reality, especially when basic financial stability and career progress remain paramount.
While Vee acknowledged that she desires marriage and children in the future, she emphasized that she cannot control the timing of these life events. She explained, “I’m trying to focus on work and what’s next for me. That’s what’s running through my mind right now. Husband? Marriage? Children?
