Sydney Sweeney appeared at a Golden Globes–related event on Friday evening, notwithstanding her failure to secure nominations during the current awards season.
The 28-year-old actress attended the high-profile gathering, co-hosted by Variety and the Golden Globes, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she walked the red carpet alongside other industry figures, including Teyana Taylor and Kate Hudson, both of whom are nominees at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
Ms. Sweeney was attired in a one-shoulder black dress that accentuated her physique and revealed her legs, complemented by black peep-toe heels, which enhanced her overall stature. Her appearance was further styled with softly waved, jaw-length blonde hair, understated makeup emphasizing her eyes, and neutral-toned lip color.
Following her red carpet appearance, Ms. Sweeney proceeded into the venue to socialize with fellow attendees.
Despite having released four films within the year, including the commercially unsuccessful Christy in November, Ms. Sweeney did not receive nominations from the Critics Choice Awards, the SAG Awards, or the forthcoming Golden Globes.
Notwithstanding these omissions, her most recent release, The Housemaid, which premiered shortly before Christmas, has achieved notable commercial success. The film, adapted from Frieda McFadden’s best-selling novel of the same title, has reportedly generated approximately $145 million in global box office revenue within three weeks of its release.#newsafro_
